Here are my own discrepant events I turned in for he assignment where 5 discrepant events were to be listed. The one I shared with the class was the "skewer through the balloon" experiment.

***Explanation for one of the discrepant events Mr. Martin showed us: Mystery
Tubes for exploring the Nature of Science can be made of mailer tubes or PVC
pipe using rope. Less sturdy but easily
made mystery tubes can be made with paper towel rolls and yarn knotted at the
ends. The ends of the tube are sealed
with non-transparent tape. No peeking
inside allowed.
